Who We Play With – Georgia, Harry the Hirer

October 12, 2022

Harry the Hirer are unmatched in the industry and we love having them at The Timber Yard! Georgia, our spectacular accounts manager, recently spoke to us about some of her favourite moments spent at The Timber Yard…

Why do you love working with The Timber Yard?

I LOVE that The Timber Yard space is a blank canvas. It’s versatile across so many different types of events. One day you can be setting up a soft/romantic wedding and the next you’re setting up a 700pax music festival! And my gosh – the staff at The Timber Yard are so accommodating, flexible and a barrel of laughs, which makes the process so enjoyable!

What’s the coolest event you’ve done at The Timber Yard?

The Industry event back in July for sure! We were given full creative freedom in choosing our products to best suit The Timber Yard’s aesthetics which is always so much fun. From walking up the long driveway with a cocktail on arrival in hand (speaking my language), music pumping through the speakers and a bubble blowing machine at the end was just such a hype to the start of a great night. Through to the unveiling drapes to reveal an incredible laser light performance, to the virtual reality setup and out to the lawn with delicious food trucks and fireball shots. What a combo!

What’s the most rewarding thing you’ve achieved at The Timber Yard?

Again, it has to be the Industry Event back in July that takes the cake for me. After such a tough couple of years with the events industry taking a major hit, to be able to come together with a bunch of brilliant suppliers and throw one heck of a party was such a proud event to celebrate us making it out the other side!

If you could host an event at The Timber Yard, what would it be?

Ooooo I would absolutely love to host a “Day on the Green’ setup with my fav performers like Elton John, John Farnham (I’m an old soul at heart) & Adele. There would be food (lots of cheese obviously) and wine picnic packages from the local suppliers in Red Hill to consume at café and bar tables setup on the lawn during the day (if it was raining the lawn would be enclosed in the Harry’s Atrium marquee of course), moving into the warehouse later in the night to Fleetwood Mac performing. We would have lounge pod setups spread throughout the warehouse so everyone can settle in, with endless roaming cocktails of Pornstar Martinis in hand!

It is always a pleasure to work with Georgia and we are looking forward to many more events featuring Harry the Hirer. We can’t wait to see what they bring to our space next!
